The St. Germain Fire Fighters Association Board would like to announce that the 44th Annual St. Germain Flea Market will kick-off on Monday, June 22, 2020. The order may be gone, but the virus is not! There are many unknowns out there and we need time to educate ourselves and implement new safety standards for our vendors and shoppers alike. A later start date will provide us time to put measures in place and put on the same great show you have come to expect from us.

We want to urge you to be smart and continue to practice the guidelines that have been shared over the last eight weeks. Maintain physical distance, use good personal hygiene, handwashing, etc. Do not come to the flea market if you are ill. Consider wearing an N95 mask when at the flea market. If you do not feel safe with the COVID-19 virus out there, then please do not come.

If you are interested in becoming a vendor, spaces are available by calling 715-891-7333, emailing: or just show up between 5 am and 7 am on the Monday you wish to vend. The Flea Market will run every Monday, June 22nd thru Labor Day unless there are changes with COVID-19. Shopping times are from 8 am to 3 pm.

The St. Germain Fire Department was founded in 1969.  They operated the first 2 years without a fire truck.  In 1971 they received a donation of $500 from the Lions club.  Not much is known about the first truck other than it was a Merrywood.  The second pumper was a 1950 Ford Hale piston pump with a 500 gallon tank.  The first NEW truck was purchased in 1978.  An FMC corp. with a 1000 gallon tank and a 500 gpm pump.  Over the years the department has continued to upgrade equipment and training.  Much of which has been purchased thru fund raisers.  Equipment continues to advance along with firefighter training.  The next time you hear the term PROFESSIONAL firefighter, remember, your volunteers are also professional in their jobs.

Thank You
